Gay Marriage
I had intended to write a bit about gay marriage back when the proposed Constitutional amendment surfaced 3, 4 weeks ago. Yeah yeah, I am late, I know… But I wanted to at least address the subject. Better late than never, I suppose.
Gays contend a homosexual relationship is as valid as a heterosexual relationship. As such, two men should be entitled to a recognized marriage. Here’s what I don’t understand, though. Homosexuality is not normal. To quote Dr. Laura, it is a “biological error.” How can a relationship based on a biological error claim equality? Also, does the pro-gay marriage agenda realize the striking contradiction in their rhetoric? They want people to believe in the validity of a homosexual relationship. But, they ultimately feel the validity of a homosexual relationship isn’t actualized until a marriage certificate is issued. Untangle that mess!
The homosexual movement has long since absorbed into the Socialists agenda. Make no mistake, the Socialists want nothing more than to see the family decimated. After all, the concept of “family” doesn’t fit into their system. What better way to destroy the family than to encourage a blatant mockery! By manipulating gays into fighting for gay marriage the Socialists have foot soldiers to push the “revolution” forward. This isn’t just a homosexual hijack, though. The Socialists are attacking on as many fronts as they can. Remember this the next time Hilary Clinton says “it takes a village to raise a child.” (The problem here is Hilary fully comprehends what garbage she’s peddling. Don’t buy into it.)
Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of gay marriage is the implications… Once you start down that slippery slope there’s no stopping. If gay marriages are recognized, will polygamous marriages be recognized as well? Pedophilia? Bestiality? Necrophilia? I mean, proponents could claim validity and equality of these relationships to heterosexual relationships, too. Think I am overreacting? Perhaps. But, when a Colorado court deems a 15-year-old girl capable of marrying…
I completely agree with George W. Bush. Even with all its flaws, marriage must be protected from judges who legislate from the bench. I don’t back a Constitutional amendment, though. I believe it is a matter best left in the hands of the states, and ultimately, in the hands of the American public. In 2004, 11 states proposed a referendum. All 11 states soundly agreed marriage should occur only between a man and a woman. To date, 45 states now have some sort of ban on same sex marriages. See, no federal intervention is necessary.
All we need to do now is work on instilling the importance and sanctity of marriage back into society. When you have Britney Spears and Jason Alexander running off to Vegas, it doesn’t set a good example…
